About Me

Hi! I'm Amanda Nelson (she/her) and I am a DONA trained birth doula. I have been a long time caregiver of families with a history of working in music education, as a nanny, an infant teacher, and a children and families programming director.After my own journey with infertility and having my two boys, I was drawn to the world of fertility and birth. I am thrilled to be pursuing my dream of supporting growing families in the profound beauty and challenges that encompass pregnancy, birth, and parenting.I love living and parenting in the city and on any given day you can find me enjoying a workout, singing in a choir, decorating sugar cookies, or riding the brown line with my train loving 5 and 2 year old sons. If I'm lucky enough to have a babysitter my happy place is going to a concert with my husband and continuing my search to find the best cinnamon roll in Chicago.

Birth Doula Support
Whether you're planning a home birth, a hospital birth, or anything in between, my goal is to empower you with information, encouragement, and advocacy every step of the way. I believe in honoring your unique journey and preferences, offering non-judgmental support that respects your decisions and desires.Package Information
$1,200 $1,000 (limited time discount!)
Includes:
-One in person prenatal visit around 36 weeks
-On call birth support starting after prenatal visit
-One in person postpartum visit
-Text/phone/email support from time of hire
